This Refund Policy explains when payments for Outcited (“we”, “us”, “our”) are refundable and how to request a refund. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Subscriptions
Outcited is sold as a recurring subscription billed in advance (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe. Each payment covers the upcoming billing period and your plan renews automatically until you cancel.
2. Free Trial
Paid plans may include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, your subscription starts automatically and your first payment is taken when the trial ends - so the best time to decide is before the trial is over.
3. Free Score Check
You can measure your AI visibility with our free score check before paying anything. We encourage you to try it first so you know what to expect from Outcited before subscribing.
4. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment (the first charge taken after any free trial). This applies to your first payment only - renewal charges after the first period are not covered by the guarantee.
If you are an EU/UK consumer, you may also have a statutory right of withdrawal. Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
5. Renewals & Cancellations
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals.
- When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not automatically pro-rate or refund the remainder of a billing period after the 14-day window.
- Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. If you forgot to cancel and were charged for a new period you did not intend to use, contact us promptly - we review these case by case and aim to be fair.
6. How to Request a Refund
Email support@outcited.co from the email address on your account and include the reason for your request. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe, and typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card provider.
7. Exceptions
We may decline a refund where there is evidence of abuse - for example, excessive content generation or other heavy use of paid features within the refund window, or violations of our Terms of Service.
8. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first - we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
