1. Information We Collect

Waitlist signup: When you join our pre-launch waitlist, we collect your email address and the date and time you signed up. We may also log your IP address for spam prevention.

Account data: If you create an account once Outcited launches, we collect your email, name (if provided), and authentication data via our identity provider (Clerk).

Usage data: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how visitors use our site (pages viewed, referrers, country). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To notify you when Outcited launches (waitlist emails only)
• To provide and improve our service once you sign up
• To respond to your questions and support requests
• To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

We will never sell, rent, or trade your email or personal data to third parties.

3. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with service providers that help us operate Outcited:

• Neon - database hosting (your email is stored here)
• Vercel - application hosting + analytics
• Clerk - authentication (only relevant once you sign up post-launch)
• Stripe - payment processing (only relevant once you subscribe post-launch)
• OpenAI - AI models that power visibility analysis, content generation, and the in-app assistant. Content and prompts you submit are processed to produce results.
• Anthropic - AI models used as a fallback for content generation and rewriting, processing the same content you submit.
• Resend - email delivery (for example, weekly reports and account emails sent to your address)

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data on our behalf only.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

Waitlist signups: Until you unsubscribe or until 12 months after the launch announcement, whichever comes first.

Account data: For as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after account deletion (to allow for recovery).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from any email at any time
• Withdraw consent to data processing (where consent is the legal basis)
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (for EU residents)

To exercise any of these rights, email support@outcited.co. We respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality (e.g., authentication sessions). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. International Data Transfers

We are based in Switzerland, and much of our infrastructure and several of our sub-processors (including our hosting and AI providers) are located in the United States. If you access Outcited from elsewhere, your data may be transferred to and processed in Switzerland, the United States, and other countries where our providers operate. For transfers from Switzerland, the EU, and the UK, we rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and adequacy mechanisms.

8. Children's Privacy

Outcited is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service evolves. We will post the new version here with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will notify users by email.
